Fading 03:28
3.
She sits down, tickets laid, Guilt and pain makes her afraid, She cries out, one last time, Trading trust for a dime. Oh, it's a Big Gamble, Let's ride on this last hand, we could lose it all One heartbeat, fifty gone, Where will the next come from? Her lies and her regrets, Are blinded by her dark weakness. Oh, it's a Big Gamble, Let's ride on this last hand, we could lose it all

His mind slips away, one hand on the wheel, So much time to think, not knowing how to feel, She's out on her own, not a dime to claim, Not one thought of the damage done, with nothing left but her name. Ohhh, one way or another, Ohhh, we all lose each other, Ohhh, one way or another, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother... Someone In Your Life Is he happy that she's gone, no more guilt trips to bear? Or is he sad that she's left, pretending not to care, She took a big gamble, tossed the dice, and lost it all, Told her lies so many times, no one left to call. Ohhh, one way or another, Ohhh, we all lose each other, Ohhh, one way or another, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother... Someone In Your Life

Inside Of Me 04:15
Heartbeat stopping, Life signs fading away, Darkness spreading, Blood is staining. You think you've done no wrong? Self-righteously strong? Look deep into the mirror underneath all of your fear, And tell me again, how you 'only did what's right', Reach down for the knife, and pull it out from deep inside of me. Contemplating, Justifying, Manipulating, Edifying, You think you've done no wrong? Self-righteously strong? Look deep into the mirror down underneath all of your fear, And tell me again, how you 'only did what's right', Reach down for the knife, and pull it out from deep inside of me. Pull it out, Pull it out from deep inside of me.

Aftermath 04:16

about

This album reflects a VERY challenging two years in my life, from 2018 through 2020. In those two years, there were countless revelations about things I'd thought were one way, but were in reality much different. I watched friendships, relationships, and marriages (my own and others' as well) dissolve seemingly overnight, learned things about my family history that I was completely oblivious of for decades, and more. Cumulo Nimbus (in this case, a live take) starts off right before things start to spiral, and the rest of the album through the ending of Aftermath is a chronicle of navigating all of those events and those emotions, hitting some of the darkest points before the hopeful ending of Aftermath, reflecting a new beginning.

Just about all of the instrument sounds on this album are a 6-string bass guitar, running through different effects, modelers, and loopers. There are some MIDI instruments here and there, and full electronic drumset during Inside of Me and Someone In Your Life (special thanks to Andrew), but this entire album was written on bass. Despite being a multi-instrumentalist, I'm most at home on extended range bass, and have really enjoyed pushing the boundaries (or, at least my boundaries) throughout this album.

I could not have done this without the support of the amazing people listed here-

Brittany Frompovich, for being a valued set of ears as I worked to drastically improve my recording skills.
Andrew Lynch, for providing some much needed production to help push me out of my comfort zone a bit.
Alyce Hart, for her amazing lyrics and melody, and the blessing to use them on this track.
My family, for better or worse, for inspiring this album.

And, my wife Tiffany, and son Jameson, for being super supportive as I've worked on this, and being a wonderfully supportive part of of this new chapter...well, book... of my life.
